Tour Overview

Visit the two amazing temle complexes carved centuries ago into rock walls in a rural area of of Maharashtra, easy to reach from Mumbai: the cave temples of Ajanta and Ellora, two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The 34 caves of Ellora were built between the 5th and 11th century AD, the 29 caves of Ajanta are even older; they were built between the 2nd century BC Carved into the rock and the 6th century AD.

Day 4: Drive to Aurangabad (380 km, 6 hours)

Day 5: Visit Ajanta ( one way 106 km, 2 hours)

Day 6: Visit Ellora (one way 30 km, 1 hour)

Day 7: Drive to Mumbai (380 km, 6 hours)
