Day 1: Reaching Agra and Setting Out to Explore It

After you’re finished reminiscing the intricate details and fascinating tales these massive forts hold, our prominent tour will continue with visiting the historical Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, popularly known as the Baby Taj. Much like its name, the mausoleum is stunning thanks to its white-colored marble exterior and geometric designs carved onto it.

Friday, a 7 pm to 9pm visit to the Sadar Bazaar or Kinari Bazaar for local handicrafts such as marble items and local textiles is a great way to wrap up your lengthy day of sightseeing. Day 2: Taj Mahal Sunrise Tour followed by a tour of Agra City 

Day two is always packed with an exhaustive schedule, make sure to visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise. It is hard to do justice to how truly magnificent And breathtaking the Taj Mahal truly is especially when the first rays of sun shine on it. In the late afternoon, Akbar’s Tomb located in Sikandra right outside of Agra is a great visit. Akbar was known for his secular visions and his grand mausoleum is a beautiful specimen that fuses together many Hindu, Persian, and Islamic architectural styles.

Day 3: Day trip to Fatehpur Sikri and Departure

Eat a heavy breakfast in Fatehpur Sikri on the historic age city located about 40 kilometers from Agra, on the last day of the tour. It was once a set of buildings built nearly 500 years back in stone and was the capital of Mughal Emperor Akbar which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Start with Buland Darwaza, the grand darwaza or gateway that marks the main entry to the city. At 54 meters tall, it is an astounding display of Mughal glory.

Next on the list is the masjid known as Jama Masjid which was built by Akbar and combines Islamic and Indian elements. Close by is the Panch Mahal which is a five-storey pavilion built with ornamental balustrades and a series of open terraces that was previously a resting area for the royal ladies.

Other major attractions are the Tomb of Salim Chishti – a place of worship and blessings and the Diwan-i-Khas where Akbar discussed matters of court with his dignitaries.
