Details

Day 1: Arrival in Mumbai


Your driver will pick you up an Mumbai Airport ot train station and bring you to your hotel. Check-in and relax. 


Day 2: Sightseeing Mumbai


The day is reserved for sightseeing in Mumbai. Your driver will pick you up in the morning in your hotel and drive you through Mumbai to places you wish to visit. Start at Mahalakshmi Dhobi Ghat, Mumbai’s central laundry where 5000 men work on more than 800 pools to clean the laundry for hotels, restaurants, hospitals and private households. Go on to Malaba Hill to visit the Hanging Garden, or head on to Churchgate to meet the Dabbawallas. Don’t miss Marine Drive, the Art Galleries, Flora Fountain and the Gateway of India, where you might want to relax drinking a tea in famous Taj Mahal Palace. In the evening walk in the market in Colaba, and finish your day at the ïconic Victoria Terminal illuminated with 16 million colourful lights. Your driver will bring you back to your hotel.


Day 3: Elephanta Island Caves


Your driver will bring you to Gateway of India, where the ferry boat starts for a full-day trip to Elephanta Island Caves, an UNESCO World Heritage site. The caves contain valuable collections of Indian Hindu temple art and are the most amazing temple sites in Mumbai.

The labyrinthine network of subterranean caves, precious Shiva statues and other deities, shrines, pillars, courtyards and halls was carved out of rocks in high relief. Come back in the afternoon.


Day 4: Drive to Aurangabad (380 km, 6 hours)


Your will drive from Mumbai to Aurangabad today, which is the starting point for exploring the Ajanta and Ellora caves. After arrival, check-in your hotel and relax.


Day 5: Visit Ajanta ( one way 106 km, 2 hours)


Today you visit the Buddhist, Hinduism and Jainism caves of Ajanta. Your driver will bring you directly to the breathtaking temples, which were struck in a horseshoe-shaped canyon and used in the time from 200 BC until 650 AD. Admire the ancient carvings and paintings in a beautiful landscape. In the evening come back to Aurangabad. 


Day 6: Visit Ellora (one way 30 km, 1 hour)


In the morning you will be picked up and in about an hour drive to Ellora. There are 34 caves in total, created by monks from the three main religions in the country: Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. A cave stands out - the Kailash Temple. This temple is a unique large temple cut from the rocks in one piece. In the evening come back to Aurangabad, on the way visit Biwi Ka Makbara, the small Taj Mahal of Aurangabad.


Day 7: Drive to Mumbai (380 km, 6 hours)


Today your driver will bring you back to your hotel in Mumbai or drop you at the Airport.
