6 Days Delhi Agra Tour: Day wise itinerary
Day 1: Day One: Reach Delhi
At the airport a representative takes you and you are taken to a prior arranged hotel in Delhi you relax especially after being relieved from a long journey. Which I recommend you do so in the evening to capture the beauty of the India Gate which is actually a war memorial at night. You can have your meal or go for a walk at Connaught Place, the shoppers ‘hub in Delhi. In the evening return to the hotel for an overnight stay Overnight accommodation at a hotel. ---
Day 2: Delhi: City Tour
Have your early breakfast followed by a whole day Delhi sightseeing tour. Discover about the most visited places in the city and go to first the Red Fort, a world heritage site exhibiting the style of Mughal Architecture. This should be followed by a visit to Jama Masjid, the biggest mosque in India. Last of all visit to New Delhi, ride on a rickshaw down the narrow streets of Chandni Chowk.
After lunch, visit Qutub Minar, again a world heritage site and then visit the Humayun’s Tomb, a forerunner to the actual marvel of the Taj Mahal. Pass by the Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament House, before you reach the Lotus Temple, perhaps one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World and definitively one of the most silent and peaceful places in New Delhi. After sightseeing around the city go back to the hotel and get some rest.
Day 3: Delhi to Agra (By Road)
After breakfast proceed for the drive of 4 hr 230 KMs to Agra. Arrive at the agreed destination, registered at the agreed hotel and take a shower. Picking up city sightseeing in Agra continue to visit the world’s wonder Taj Mahal- This wonderful monument was constructed by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal.
On the next visit have another more UNESCO World Heritage Site called Agra Fort, which can give rather impressive view of the life and history of Mughal people. In the evening, again go for shopping marble handicraft and some other articles at the local markets of Agra. Go back to the hotel you were checked in for the night.
Day 4: The best way from Agra to Jaipur with an excursion to Fatehpur Sikri
After breakfast proceed to Jaipur- the pink city. While on the trip, remember to make a stopover as part of a Fatehpur Sikri tour – this is a World Heritage Site. Visit some of the great architectures among them are Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid, Panch Mahal etc.
Proceed to Jaipur, the Pink City; it is another active city filled with rich history as well as rich culture. Day 6: Jaipur to Delhi (Exit)
On the last day embark from the hotel after breakfast and proceed for Delhi. The drive shall be an estimated 5 to 6 hours on the road. If you have time you should also try to go for the markets of Delhi like Sarojini Nagar/Khan Market.
