Morning: Journey from Delhi to Agra

Pick-up in Delhi: This tour starts early morning and from the hotel, residence or any place which you wish to start in Delhi. This new roadway is known as the Yamuna Expressway and it is one of the best highways you can find in India; you will travel comfortably in a private, well-ventilated car. The ride to Agra takes about 3 to 4 hours and this is very comfortable as well as relaxing way to begin one’s journey.

Morning Sightseeing in Agra

1. Taj Mahal

Your tour should start with the Taj Mahal- world’s symbol of love and considered to be a part of Seven Wonders of the World. This huge white-marbled building constructed by the emperor Shah Jahan to commemorate his major spouse, Mumtaz Mahal is also located in India as one of the world heritage sites.

Stupendous designs on the walls, the neatly laid out yards, and the image of the Taj in the channel of water. 2. Agra Fort

The next place you’ll visit is Agra Fort again a world heritage site and a well-ornamented Mughal Architecture marvell/fantastic. Originally constructed in the 16th century by Mughal emperor Akbar, this sandstone fort was used as a palace and a fort.

Visit its courtyards it contains palaces and audiences hall which includes the Diwan-i-Aam (Hall of Public Audience), Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Specific Audience), Jahangir Palace and Sheesh Mahal or Mirror Palace. Except for some areas of the fort it is possible to see the Taj Mahal in the distance.

3. ITIMAD-UD-DAULAHS TOMB MORE KNOWN AS BABY TAJ

Also referred to as the Baby Taj, this marvellous tomb was commissioned by Nur Jehan, the Empress, for her father Mirza Ghiyas Beg. Itimad ud daullah tomb is notably thought to be the baby proto-type of the Taj Mahal, mainly due to the screen-work of marble basket work and inlayed decorative geometric patterns.

Fatehpur Sikri: A historical city, which is at a distance of about forty kilometers from Agra. Famously visited by Emperor Akbar; this has a combination of architectural designing and illustrious gates and a mosque, named Buland Darwaza and Jama Masjid respectively.

Evening: Return to Delhi
