Details

Day 1: Sightseeing Delhi


After breakfast in your hotel your driver will pick you up and you will drive to Old Delhi. You can start your day visiting the Red Fort. After, you walk in Chandni Chowk and visit the vegetable and spice market. In the center of a local market you find on a small hill the beautiful Jama Mosque. There are some famous restaurants in Chandni Chowk where you can enjoy typical indian lunch.

In the afternoon your driver will bring you to Humayun tomb, which was a model for the Taj Mahal. On the way by car you will see India Gate and the President House. If you still don’t feel tired, there might be some time to visit the islamic Qutub Minar, the famous modern Lotus Temple, Bangla Sahib Gurudwara (a Sikh temple) or Birla Temple (a Hindu temple). Your driver will drop you in your hotel in the evening.


Day 2: Drive to Jim Corbet National Park (255 km, 6 hours). 


Your driver will pick you up in the morning and you will drive to Jim Corbett National Park, the oldest and one of the best wildlife sanctuaries in India. After refresh in the hotel you can do a first walk in the jungle and visit Garijiya Mata Temple, situated over a large rock. 


Day 3: Whole day jungle safari


Start early in the morning for a whole day Safari in the National Park, where in 1973 the "Project Tiger" was founded by the Indian government and the WWF. The park's main attractions include the Bengal Tiger, the Indian Leopard and Asian Elephants.


Day 4: Drive to Ranikhet (100 km, 2 hours)


You will drive to Ranikhet, where you will have a unique view of the mountains. You will visit the old town and the Jhula Devi temple from the 8th Century. Enjoy the nature.


Day 5: Drive to Kaushani (80 km, 2 hours)


You will drive to Kaushani, a village situated on a narrow, pine-covered ridge which offers spectacular panoramic views of the Himalayas. The view is most impressive in the morning or at dusk. You can do short or longer hikes here and enjoy the nature.


Day 6: Hiking around Kaushani


Enjoy the nature on a day-hike around Kaushani, e.g. to Rudradhari Waterfalls.


Day 7: Drive to Almora (60 km, 2 hours)


After breakfast you will drive to the piqturesque mountain resort town Almora. It is located at 1650m altitude. From Almora you can take a nice walk to Kasar Devi-Temple. On the way, the effort is rewarded with magnificent views. Walk over Sadar bazaar, through the deer park and enjoy the nature.


Day 8: Drive to Nainital (110 km, 3 hours)


You will drive to Nainatal, uniquely situated at the spectaculous crater lake. After relax in the Hotel you can walk on the Mall and visit the Tibetian market.


Day 9: Enjoy Nature around Nainatal


Take a walk in the morning to visit Naina Devi Temple. You can take a cable car to «Snow View» (2270m), from where you can see China Peak or walk to Naina Peak (2611m).  In the afternoon take a relaxing boat ride on the lake.


Day 10: Drive to Delhi (300 km, 6 hours). 


Your driver will drop you at your hotel or the airport.
